Food Festival Review

So its Manchester food festival and being the big foodie I am I couldn’t wait to get there. So first on the plan was to get ready and that’s what I did, my makeup of the day was a berry bronzy eye makeup with a matt base and a pinkie nude lip.   My OOTD was my Topshop Stripe Crop Wide Trousers paired with my high neck crop H&M jumper I brought last year and my black pointy flats I brought from Asos.   As it was raining I had to wear a coat so my sister’s it was, being unaware of the awful weather I certainly was not dressed for the right occasion. The festival was based in the city centre so it was not hard to find it, and there was parking nearby which was a bonus in that dreadful weather. As soon as I walked in all I could smell was the aroma of the yummy food stalls located around the square. After strolling around the festival I came across a Mexican stall which were selling all the yummy Mexican food I love. First thing I ordered was sw...

Pasta + Cake = One Very Happy Me! 😁

So it Sunday, I’m sat at home and I’m thinking what to do! For some time now I have been craving afternoon tea and cake. So I make a plan to go to Manchester to my favourite place for some afternoon tea. As it was a Sunday I felt like I wanted to be comfortable but still have made an effort. So the OOTD was my light wash denim h&m jeans which can’t really be seen in the picture as I was sat down. Paired with my current favourite knitwear my oversized cropped high neck jumper also from h&m. The accessories to go with this understated outfit was my pink Nike comfy trainers and my antique double coin and stone ring with a gold band. The vibe A vintage sort of 1950s collective of mishmash interior and furniture. This was my sort of style a mixture of beautiful items that worked well as one cohesive piece. Sugar Junction was full of interesting and beautiful ornaments from the eye-catching wall art to the tableware of the floral tea cups and plates...

Coffee With Mum

More like tea with mum! As part of my daily recovery from depression, one of my goal is to go out with a family member which is more likely to be my mum or sister who I live with. So on Tuesday this week I went out with my mum to the new mail in Bradford. Which I have to say although it is small the Broadway mail is a lovely place to visit to have a great day out with my mum. First thing first was to have a nice cup of tea with yummy cake, so mum and me went to Costa to do so. Whenever I’m at Costa all I think about is eating their yummy cakes and muffins which are delicious and so tasty. So I ordered mum and me their hot warming tea accompanied with one blueberry muffin for mum and yummy lemon drizzle slice for myself. The nice worker at Costa even put the tray out for us. Both me and my mum enjoyed the lovely afternoon tea and cakes. The lemon drizzle was so moist and soft inside with yummy crystallised lemon shavings on top of the cake, I coul...

Two South Asian Exhibitions

Two exhibitions in one go! Over the weekend I had the pleasure to visit the Whitworth art gallery in Manchester to see both Beyond Borders and Raqib Shaw exhibitions. Both very different in the styles of art and design but were united by their core representation of North and south Asian culture. With the new programme of the new North and South Asian art exhibitions based over the North of England which celebrates South Asian art culture from countries of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka . First on the plan was to see Beyond Borders which was an exhibition celebrating south Asian textiles from the above countries.  This exhibition was full of rich opulent fabrics, detailed floral wallpaper and contemporary abstract prints which in itself was telling the viewer a story about who and what was south Asian. Each part of exhibitions art was unfolding a story about that particular piece of art and design which to me added another dimension ...
