When feeling low and depressed I have to pick myself up and
go out and that what I did on Monday with the support of my family. So on Monday
I made a plan to get out of the house and surround myself in a different
environment. For my mental stability I really needed this but it was also nice
to visit a new place I never been to before. So on this Monday I woke up early,
did my morning skincare routine and had a hearty breakfast of porridge with
blueberries and honey just the right type of breakfast when I am feeling low.
The look for the day was going to be effortless but still
put together, so first thing first was to get ready and get my makeup done. On days
when I don’t feel good I like to make an effort by dressing up and doing my
makeup which always helps resulting in me feeling good about myself. My makeup look
for the day was a soft eye with a nudie pink lip and as always a matt base with
a dark pink blush and gold highlight. Which I have to say might be one of my favourite
looks to this day. The outfit that I was rocking was a play on denim on denim with
a simple white tee. I wore my new oversized h&m blue denim shirt with my
dark indigo Topshop skinny jeans and to finish the effortless look together I added
touches of my mickey mouse necklace, antique gold rings and my white Adidas
trainers.
Getting to the botanical gardens in Birmingham was not a bad
journey although saying that it did take two hours to get there from Yorkshire
and my poor sister had to drive us there. As soon as we got there I could see
and smell the beautiful greenery that occupied the gardens. Again to get into
the botanical gardens there is a fee charge which is fairly cheap if you go as
a family. When you go pass the gate barrier you are entered by the first set of
indoor gardens which at first felt like I was in a jungle movie. The sheer
number of plants there is just mindboggling and beautiful to take in so much
greenery and nature just blows your mind away.
I loved how each plant is placed with the different heights
and layers to it creating dimension to the garden. The different shades and
tones of the lush greenery and earthy browns with the subtle hints of colour in
my opinion bring life to the garden and makes everything pop out. Botanical gardens
are full of sunning tropical creatures like butterflies and peacocks. These beautiful
beings are so opulent and colourful which are full of character they origins
are from the tropical parts of the world.
If you want a peaceful beautiful environment where you can
escape to gather your thoughts and lose yourself then the Botanical gardens is
your place.
