It’s my first time visiting the UAE and after hearing my mum praising the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi I just knew I had to visit. So on a hot sunny day I made the travel from Dubai to Abu Dhabi (which in actual fact was not that far) to see this beautiful architecture. As a lover of design and architecture I was stunned by the mesmerising Islamic beauty.
Being in this tranquil surrounding made me feel at peace with myself and calm in a space that represented purity and spiritualty. I felt in awe in the sheer beauty of everything and how grand it all was plus the weather was great too so that helped.
I was again stunned when I entered the inside of the mosque, it simply was a beauty of opulence, richness and grand heights. I loved the intricate artwork on the dome ceilings with the detailed Arabic calligraphy. There was again a balance of modern artistic glass work with traditional Islamic patterns and repletion. Glass work that was full of beautiful vibrant colours and detailed floral motifs which stood out in contrast to the pure white marble material.

Here's a picture of me with my glamorous sunnies on stood in front of the columns
I highly recommend all my readers to go and visit this piece of beauty!
